Our Self Program
STEAM-Oriented Lessons
In addition to core curriculum foundations in math, reading, and writing, INIC also introduces children to science concepts and the natural world through engaging activities. Our “Creative Lab” program fosters exploration in art and music, where students use building blocks, puzzles, props, toys, and sensory materials to promote creativity, problem-solving, and social skills. We focus on hands-on learning and do not use screens at INIC.
Body Control, Coordination, Movement
Our gyms, playgrounds, and classrooms are designed to help children develop both large- and fine-motor skills that impact every part of the brain and body.
- Large movement systems: coordination of arms, legs, and core (essential for an active lifestyle)
- Fine movement systems: coordination of fingers, toes, and eyes (impacts reading, writing, posture, etc.)
These lessons help prepare students for future physical activities, building strength and coordination in a fun, engaging environment.
Purposeful Play Every Day
“Purposeful Play” takes the form of structured group and individual play, including sports, games, and imagination activities. INIC’s Purposeful Play is fun and crucial for a child’s social, emotional, and academic growth. It encourages creative thinking, collaboration, and healthy physical activity, all while promoting strong emotional development.
